Roca Yoga teacher training is rooted in the fundamentals of the practices of asana, pranayama and meditation. In this journey, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the deeper studies of traditional and tantric yoga philosophies. You will build a stronger, more flexible and balanced body, You will develop a focused, clear, and calm mind, and establish yourself in your connection to spirit.

You will be encouraged and supported to step into your own power and discover your gifts and your authentic voice to share the essence of yoga.
The journey of becoming a yoga teacher is one of profound transformation and radical self-discovery. It requires dedication, ongoing studentship, and a willingness to open to the creative impulse of life and the living teachings of tantric hatha yoga. Roca Yoga is the combination of Rhonda and Carl's names and their love for yoga, for each other and for sharing the beauty of yoga.In Sanskrit, Roca means one who lightens or makes bright, and yoga is traditionally referred to as the path of fire and light. Together, Rhonda and Carl share over 30 years of yoga teaching experience. Roca Yoga is creating a Yoga Alliance teacher training school and our training includes all requirements for a 200 hour program with a special focus on personal development and practice teaching to support you to develop and share your true voice with joyful freedom.
Carl's passion for yoga shines in every class. His highest intention is to guide his students safely through practices that are as invigorating and fun as they are meaningful and balanced. With creativity and enthusiasm, he encourages his students to realize their full potential in order to inspire and uplift their spirits through the experience of yoga.
Carl has been on the yogic path since the late 90's. He began his first Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2002 with Yogrishi Vishvketu. He then explored other styles of yoga by doing workshops with internationally renowned yogis at home and abroad. All roads lead to Rome and that is where he found his path in 2005 and became an Inspired Anusara Yoga Teacher in 2010. Carl regularly assists Todd Norian, his main teacher, and he continues to soar by leading workshops, retreats and trainings in North America and the Caribbeans.
Rhonda is a joyous free spirit who has facilitated people to return home to who they truly are for the past 16 years. Her classes, events, and teacher trainings create a space of compassion, freedom, and wondrous discovery.
After a career performing internationally as a dancer, Rhonda dived into yoga in 2000, and in 2003, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait initiated her into the tradition of Sri Vidya. She is steeped in Rod Stryker’s Parayoga, conscious living with Kathlyn Hendricks, PhD, and her decades of experience teaching multiple dance techniques and creative movement. Rhonda completed certifications in ParaYoga, BodyMind Coaching, Nonviolent Communication, and Transformational Leadership.
